- Computers Young
children approach new tools and ideas with open minds. We explored
the ways that preschool children interact with computers and found
the possibilities to be quite exciting. In 1983, we began incorporating
computers into our program. The children enjoy learning about computers
through the hands on experience.

- Classroom Visits
We believe in an "open door" policy at Accotink Academy.
Parents are welcome at any time to participate in classroom and all
school activities.

- Uniforms
The children are required to wear uniforms each day that they attend
school. You can purchase these uniforms
through Rose Uniforms

- Field Trips
Field trips are arranged for our classes throughout the year. Transportation
is provided by our buses and normal school hours are usually followed.
We go to some local points of interest.

for purchase if they so desire.

Snacks
and Meals The children are served a mid-morning or mid-afternoon
snack of fruit juice, crackers, pretzels or other healthy choices.
Parents may provide refreshments whenever they wish. There
is a Thankful Prayer said at snack time.
- Religion
Since we welcome all faiths, our prayers are non-sectarian. We encourage
each child to follow the faith of their parents.
Lunch Bunch The
Preschool Lunch Bunch Program is from 11:50 - 1:00, Monday - Friday.
Lunch Bunch is primarily a social/play time for the children. Parents
must provide a lunch. Afternoon students will be taken to their classes
at 12:30.
- Enrichment
Classes These activitites will be held in
8 week blocks, meeting once a week. There will be three sessions throughout
the school year. Classes may vary each session. Each class runs from
11:45 - 1:00 PM. Parents provide a healthy snack during these classes.
